Requesting Help With Old Save CTD While Loading

I would first like to point out that this particular save has been with me for some time, well before I became invested in the modding community for Skyrim. I understand the risks inherent that come with installing and running new mods on an old save file, rather than starting over from scratch to minimize script errors and conflicts, but I would prefer to keep this save file intact and reverse any corruption possible, as I have invested a great deal of time into the character.

Most or all of my mods were installed via NMM and sorted using LOOT. I have used SKSE, LOOT, and TES5Edit to assist in fixing the problem previously with partial success, however it seems to be returning in force, and I fear that the situation may be out of my control now. I defer to the good judgement of the Nexus community on this matter, and I have provided as much relevant information as I thought to gather below.

The papyrus log suggests to me that the primary issue is with USLEEP, but the patch has worked fine for me before. Perhaps it's conflicting with a specific mod in the list?

I would be extremely grateful to anyone who can decipher a probable cause and effective solution for this issue.

UPDATE: The save file loaded properly after another try, but now when I leave Breezehome, the game CTDs while trying to load Whiterun. The papyrus error report returns the same log as previously listed.

I would suggest you get XPMSE and put it at the bottom of your load order just above your AS-LAL. It could be your sex mod/OSA needs xpmse and doesn't state it, or it does and you aren't using it.

Check out the crash fixes mod and try to read what he says and use that mod.

Make sure you've optimized your windows 10 to the game: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=500687692

The XPMSE download page tells me that I need to download Realistic Ragdolls and Force, as well as RaceMenu, in order for the mod to function properly. The webpage for Realistic Ragdolls and Force says that it will conflict with any mod that alters the skeleton.nif. Doesn't that mean CBBE won't be playing very nice with it once it's installed, or am I being paranoid?

No, there are multiple types of files. I'll give you an example.

XPMSE - a skeleton mod for your bones, how your character moves

CBBE - the shape and style of your body, like adding fat and muscle to a skeleton (doesn't affect skeleton)

Demoniac Skin - Alters the outer layer appearance of your skin, but does not alter the shape of your body or the skeleton

Freckle/tattoo/warpaint overlay - adds freckles/tattoo/warpaint, but only lays it over the top layer of skin.

Each of these is an additional layer that doesn't interfere with the one below it. What it is telling you, is not to use another Skeleton level mod; just as you would conflict if when using CBBE, you decided to use UNP; another body shape mod.

Download the Ragdolls and Force and race menu, then put those anywhere up above in your load order, but keep the XPMSE at the bottom

Thanks for all the help, the CTD while loading the old save has been (at least temporarily) averted once more. I'm still dealing with the occasional CTDs after extended periods of continuous game time, but other than that the save seems to be running rather well. Will report back if the issue returns later, though.

I don't use Realist Ragdolls as it caused issues with physics and sex mods. How are u running Amorous Adventures without Sexlab? It looks like you need the clean version (without Sexlab or Osex ). I have found that OSA and Sexlab do not mix well if you decide to use them.

You will definitely need HDT Physics Ext. with HDT high Heels I think. Or maybe that's just for BBP-which you don't seem to have.

Loading an old save with new mods isn't always a problem. Loading a save with missing mods is.

According to the mod page for HDT HighHeels, it only needs SKSE and Skyrim 1.9.32. Also, Amorous Adventures seems to have three variations, a clean version, an OSA/OSex version, and a Sexlab version, and I downloaded the OSA-Clean version which relies on OSA/OSex, but defaults to Clean if they're not present in the mod list.

So if I remove Realistic Ragdolls now, will that irreparably screw up my save file?
