Does this mod exist?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section or if an answer exists for this. I've done google searches and looked around the Nexus and have no answer for it through my own research so I come to the community seeking answers. I've asked this also on Steam though I doubt it will get much traffic.

The question is simply this; Is there a mod that fundamentally and/or physically removes the settlement system from the game?

I see a lot of mods that do things to try and bandaid the system, that add to it, or that re-purpose it for their own functions, but is there a mod that gets rid of it all together? I ask this because I want to do a complete playthrough of the game, yet find myself constantly distracted or redirected by the settlement system. Right now I have over 400 hours invested in Fallout 4, I would say 90% of that is spent in settlements. At this point they feel like a prison more than a fun little side objective for me and was hoping someone had a mod that removed them to remove that distraction from me and my playthrough.

Oh, was also wondering if there was a mod that allows for vendors to sell the straight weapon mods similar to how it was done in NV?

Don't quote me on this, because I am but a simple gamer with limited knowledge on how to use, let alone make, mods. However, I'm fairly certain that this would be impossible because it's written into the base code of the game, and that can't really be changed. Like I said, don't quote me on that. I'll also not be much help on your latter question either, but just for clarification's sake, by "straight weapon mods", do you mean modular weapon addons that you get from the Nexus? Or do you mean the actual modifications you do to your weapons via the base game?

the settlement system is fairly tied in to the rest of the game, it would not be easy to remove. Plus, you cannot complete the main quest without at least one settlement to build the device in. So, no, there isn't a mod that removes it. It would be more likely for someone to edit the quests that require you to make/control settlements, but even that would be tricky and incredibly time consuming, and given the quirks of the game and papyrus, break more things than it changed

Yeah I had a feeling such would be the case. Thank you. DId get some hits on the Steam one, but it mostly amounted to "Just don't do it." Sigh.

As to Malachai, the modifications in the base game. It's hard to clarify what I'm trying to ask for in type. But I'm talking about the modifications you get from the weapons workbench in the game.

It's not what you're looking for since that can't be done, but there are a couple of mods that make settlement life a lot easier.

This generator is a fusebox you can stick on a wall that "provides" food, water, beds, defense, etc. so you don't have to do anything and your settlers are still happy. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6304

This mod is the bug free way to reduce the number of settlement related quests such as attacks etc. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13439

If you don't want the settlements, then don't even mess with it. You can pretty much play the entire game with only Sanctuary. What I do is find settlements where there are no settlers, build what I want and move on. Nothing is forcing you to build a beacon to attract settlers. But, Nuka World (and maybe Far Harbor) will force you to have at least some settlements. You still dont need settlers though.
