Hey guys. This is a tutorial on how to get Oblivion mods into Oblivon.

1- Dowload 7zip and Winrar. 7zip is a free program Winrar has a 40 day demo.

2- Dowload the file you want and put it into a know foloder like My Documents

3- extract the file by using either Winrar or 7zip (Winrar files have stack of books as an icon) (7zip have a red icon)

4- copy the esp. meshes,textures and data folders to the Oblivion data folder, which is located in the computer folder.

5- Open the computer folder then go to program files, then go to Bethesda folder. Then open the Oblivon folder and right click data then select paste.

6- A messsage will appear saying do you want to merge or replace these folders click ok.(it will not really replace the folders because all mod files have a special folders= in them.

7- Start Oblivion and on the main menu there is an option to go to data files open that up chose the esp(s). You want

8- Have fun.

You could also use IZArc for an extraction program. It's also free, and can be used with .rar files as well as .7z files. Also many others. It doesn't get any "Compatability Errors" like 7zip or WinRar do. :yes:

Or, if you don't understand what he is saying, look at this tutorial- its a little more comprehensive and explains things in more detail for people who have never downloaded a mod and don't know much about computers. It includes links to everything needed, including 7-zip and a test mod on Tesnexus to use with the tutorial.
