I found this in the "assassins chest" in mehrunes dagons shrine but i cant figure out where its from as it also doesnt actually seem to have added anything to my smithing does anyone know something about it?

It might help if you tell us what you actually found? It's name, for instance, and what its enchantments are?

well nice how uploading a picture didnt work... anyway in that chest was just a daedric bow some enchantet bolts and a letter called "assassins invitation" wich basically said that because im in the dark brotherhood a nightingale and did mehrunes dagons quest i can now forge assassin gear but nothing was added

Sounds like a mod. I've played through Skyrim a few times and have never found a chest like the one you described.
