Request of Mods

I'd like to start a topic, where people can come up with their mod ideas for modders, so that they and the entire community will have a clear idea about what people want to see happening as mods here on the Andromeda nexus.

I'd also like to make my own recommendations first.

1. A Suvi romance mod, which allows male Ryders to romance this Irish red-head hottie, like most male players would actually want it.

2. A new hair mod for Cora. I have no problem with her current hairstyle, but I want to see something more feminine. She is a true beauty, and I think it's a shame that they didn't gave her something more womanly as her hairstyle.

So that would be my recommendations. I'm not a modder, but I hope that some actual modders will see the ideas of the community, and will make this already awesome game even better. :)

1) Stop SAM spam. SAM has too much to say about temperature. I know it's cold, but he/it doesn't have to say it every time when I go next to heat source..

2) Make mineral nodes more visible. Well that says it all. I keep missing mineral nodes..

Just be patient, this is a Bioware Frostbite Engine game, so it's likely to be very similar to how things went in Dragon Age Inquisition.
Literally nothing but character saves, and things like reshades, which use multi-game 3rd party tools.

As you can upload your character to EA, ther's at least a chance a mod tool will be able to use that function for local saves of characters for sharing.
IN DAI, that was done by screenshots of each setting, and not actual file data.

Until the MEA equivalent of the DAI Tools suite appears, Not much can be done.

DAI took a month for anything to appear, and it was many months, for most features to appear. MEA Tools times may appear quicker, due to DAI being the first Bioware gtame on Frostbite.
Frosbite isn't easily modded, and with no support from Bioware, the modding tools must be made, before any actual mods can start.
Even with the tools, what can be done, is limited, though having two Bioware games, can help both get developed faster.

So before you go asking for impossible mods, lets see what can actually be done.

Cheat Engine
Cheat Engine Tables exist, they require the latest Cheat Engine, this tool is complicated, but it does give you total control, and allows you to create, or modify Cheat Tables.
Cheat Engine

This is a forum thread where, multiple Tables are being posted, you need to download a table to use, I've tried the Cielos Table, the first post one is the first made, and is not the best. The first post has a link to the Cielos post, and that is still being improved.
Mass Effect Andromeda - Cheat Engine Tables

The DAI cheat table makers were involved in the very early development of the mod tools, so this is progress. Even if cheats are not what you want, they find vital information, that's useful in learning the games functions.
In the absense of useful console commands, these can be useful to get you out of bugged situations, where a no clipping command would usually be useful.

Cheat Engine Tables

Using Cheat Engine Tables, is pretty simple, it edits the running process in your PC's memory, not the files, so no permenant changes are made to your games files.

Just don't play multi-player, with the engine running, and it should be fine, but I don't play any SPG's multi-player, so don't have any experience of it.

Quick start guide, for just using Ceilos MEA Table

With Cheat Engine, and MEA running, Alt-Tab out of MEA, and you will see a flashing Icon in Cheat Engine, this is the "Select A Process" Icon, and is used to select the Game, from all running processes. So select the MEA process here,

Next to the Process Icon is a folder Icon, use this to select the Table you downloaded.

Once running, just click OK button in the Advanced Options window, and look at the main windows bottom half. This works on a selection box tree system.

Ticking each box will open subtrees, or activate that option

Start buy Clicking the Enable box and continue with the named boxes, until you reach the actual cheat options, and simply click the boxes of cheats required.

Infinity

To just use cheats easily, you may prefer the multi-game Infinity tool, you have to sign up, but it's free (Pro option exists), and once joined many newer games are available.
It's a new tool, and is adding older games, when I installed it only ME3 was available, now all ME games exist, and I see KOTOR is now added as well (No KOTOR 2 yet)
Mass Effect: Andromeda

I don't actually like this tool, the developers started with XBox cheating tools, and there's a major issue with lack of user control, and online settings.

Not being able to change the games location, after selecting it once.

Using AppData\Local for the installed location, and AppData\Roaming for some other files.

No user editable settings files. They are working on a new version, promising more offline functions. For now it's limited, but has potential.

However, if you don't care about these things, and just want to use cheats, it does the in game parts, quite well.

Most mods will take more time, and without a Tools suite, will be extremely limited, so be patient, and wait for the tools needed first.

i wish i could switch on/off the headset Ingame with a shortcut, even if it's just graphics appearance, because sometime you would like to see your face but sometime planet condition need to have the headset

You mean the helmet? Cause if so you can do that under Settings > Games.

As for what I'd like to see once we get the tools to do it? A makeup overhaul. The eye-shadows could do with some softer edges, most characters lipstick is way too intense (poor Suvi) the scars looks like they were painted on rather than being actual scar tissue, the tattoos are... cool but the size and placement is kind of wonky. And lets not forget the hair colors, all those choices and somehow most of them end up looking awkwardly fake?

Luckily I'm fairly sure things like this will be coming as soon as we get tools to extract and repack files.

Requested mod:

- Bug fixes: well there is a thousand of them but it would be nice if some could be fixed.

- Texture/mesh fixes: so tired to see this horrible character from 10 years ago with no facial expression. And the whole environment.. I mean it was made from Battlefield 1 engine and it does not look like it at all ...

- Better menus: I really hate the menus. They are confusing and not user friendly.

- Dialogue fixes: if someone is interested in improving the horrible dialogue.

- Better/new weapon (more mass effect like)

- Better/new armor (more mass effect like)

- Better/new skills (more mass effect like)

- Character creation: definitely need to redo it all, with more choices, more hair (and definitely better hair meshes)

- Better research/development (more mass effect like)

- Better interface

- Better profile

Bonus:

- Additional quests

- Additional areas

- Alternate skins/color for Tempest

- Possibility to play as other races? Still something they never let you do. Which is a shame.

I volunteer as tester if you need me. I work as a software test engineer, specialize in functional manual and user testing. So feel free to ask. I use windows 10 and play with Ultra graphics settings. Currently using the re-shade tool for a better experience.

We need a better gaming experience than the crap EA gave us just to save money. Thank you for your hard work.
