CTD when entering Diamond City for the first time

So I started playing fallout again, just got the PC version, and loaded a whole bunch of mods to make it look pretty. After setting up Sanctuary I'm starting the main story after about 20 hours of play time. I get all the way to Diamond City, and start seeing some glitches, namely the guards outside either being naked or half clothed. That's not the main issue and as annoying as it is I could probably live with it. The only other glitch I've had until now were some mesh errors in my gun mods that turn them invisible.

 

The problem comes after finishing the conversation with the Mayor and Piper. Upon walking up the stairs and entering the loading screen to Diamond City, my game crashes to my desktop. I've tried restarting my computer, verifying the game files and making sure all the mods I have are updated. No dice with anything.

 

Does anyone have any insight into this? I've been getting the random crash here and there but only ever in build mode.

 

TL:DNR Lots of mods, new save, crash when walking into diamond city on loading screen.
