Control over the 3 FOV settings

Alright. I do not know about you. But I am one of those that dislike games taking away control from me. That usually means forced FOV changes, or cinematic kill-cams. Yes, I dont like kill-cams. The Skyrim-mods I use for kill-cams is just so they wont change perspective.

I have tried bringing this up on reddit and other forums. But people verbally attack me with things like: You are the reason patches destroy games. etc.

Anyways, looking through any and all files that I can open with notpad++, I have been unable to find anything that controls the changes in FOV between exploring, weapon drawn, and tight aim.

In previous ME games, I know that cheat engine could be used to force camera fov. But I have as of yet been unsuccessful myself, and noone has posted anything about it.

So it leads me to either of two conclusions:

1. SoL

2. It is so easy, noone bothers to post about it.

Any help would be appreciated. I really dislike automatic camera changes that I have no control over.

I would also love to be able to separately control exploration / combat fov.

The combat fov is indeed darn too tiny. ( or else when you explore to setup a "decent" fov, then in combat go in the menu to setup the max possible fov, that's insanely annoying )

I really hope something like coalesced editor comes out soon. I have played through the game once, which means that gameplay will have to carry my enjoyment even more.

And no player controlled camera

Ugly ass armor without transmogrification

Inability to individually dictate color-theme on armor pieces

Forced equipping of weapons.

general pidgeon-holing into a class that use weapons with backup abilities is so frustrating.

If these things could be fixed, then I would at least be able to properly enjoy the game-play.

Ok, I agree with a couple of points, Ugly Ass Armor and Camera, but do you know about Profiles? You can select up to 4 Profiles to switch to on the fly. I have a Tech, Explorer and Sentinel Profile that I switch to as needed. You can swap by using F1-F4 and only have a moderate cool down.

As for the Colors on the Armor, I discovered that the Outer Wheel of the Color Selection moves as well, that's pretty cool but not well documented.

Once you have played through, as you have done, I recommend that you start a new game using the New Game+, it will bring all skills and research into the new game, levels and all. I do suggest before do so, that you go back to your last save, sell or deconstruct everything. Keep your Best Weapons and Armor, I also suggest that you stock up on RPG and Incendiary ammo, set those to your First 2 Consumable Slots. When you arrive on the Tempest all these items will be available to you... (You will have access to ammo items and skills that match your new character during the intro) If you have Profiles set, they to will be available.

mmm, I know about all the points you raised.

Problem is that there is a what 10-15 second global cooldown during profile switching. Which means that it is slower to wait for profile switching than to just play with one profile.

So I play with just one profile.

But that was not what I was talking about. No matter what set-up you are using, you are a guy with a gun that use abilities as backup.

No melee only character. No biotic monk that dont use any weapons. etc. The only way to play a biotic mage is to abuse the 25% shields on reload and spam dash to continuously get your shield back.

(if you have a 1 shot weapons, and interrupt your reload animation, you will continously get shield back, since it is awarded at the beggining of the reload animation. This allows for spamming of lance)...

Gotcha! No melee only class/setup. Honestly, I have not even tried. The closest I came to that was a Biotic, Biotic Amp, Charge, Pull, Throw. Using a Jump attack (Jump at Target, then use F to melee), but I did have other weapons equipped.

No weapons mod would indeed be awesome since I played a power only build from the start. They can use a dummy gun as a place holder on the equip screen so you can get some of the augment bonus and they can use Overload's charging animation as the default state in game.
