Party based Skyrim/ Skyrim D&D

Didn't even realize that there was a mod request forum until now.

Don't really know how many modders look at this forum for ideas, but here is my idea for a mod I would have loved to see come to life:

You know how in Dungeons and Dragons you are usually a party of at least 3-4 people? You know how in classic jrpg games you usually end up with several party members to choose from, at least 3-4 that does combat at the same time?

How cool wouldn't it be for skyrim to function a bit like that? I get that you are the dragonborn, but still, any quest seems to be more fun and rewarding if you are more than one person doing it, right?

So I had two ideas for this actually.

1: A mod that lets you start by picking/creating a character like normal, but he would function like a player controlled NPC. You would use him/her as the party face, talking to NPCs and interacting with items like normal, but once in combat the camera would zoom out as an AI picked by the player for this NPC would take over, letting you see the action from a good perspective. You would not directly control him in combat, but rather micromanage outside of combat, setting equipment and behavior to use in combat. Once you had 3-4 partymembers (hired followers) this would probably be preferable to be played together with increased enemy spawn mods.

2: Basically lets you play while the freecam console command is in action, but still allowing you to interact with NPCs and items, your followers would still follow you, but once in combat, you would just be a free floating camera, no actual target for enemies so that you would be free to overview the combat.

Well, that's my idea, for what it's worth. I don't know how doable it is, or how interested people would be to play the game like this, but I know that for me, personally it would be a mod I would have loved to see.

Thanks to any modders who might let themselves be inspired
