mjcairns Posted May 16, 2017 Share Posted May 16, 2017 This game was working fine for me 3 months ago, but now it no longer saves any data. If I start a new game, make some progress and then try to load it again, it crashes. If I quit the game altogether, the save disappears. The file DRAKS0005.sl2 says it was last modified 2/27/2017, so something is preventing the game from writing new data to it. I've tried everything: I've re-installed the game with and without DSFix. I've tried re-installing DirectX 9 and 11. I've tried an older video card driver. I've uninstalled recent Windows updates. I've deleted the save folder. I've tried disabling Steam Cloud. I've tried uninstalling GFWL. I've tried running the game as an administrator, and in compatibility mode for Windows 7, but it still won't save a new game. I've asked about this in the Steam forum and the Dark Souls Reddit, but no luck. I even contacted Bandai Namco, but they've completely ignored me. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
