I don't have the knowledge or expertise to mod new Classes into Darkest Dungeon. But what I do have is ideas. More than 65 detailed pages of them.

If anyone would be willing to shoulder any of these, I would be super grateful. Just leave a comment letting me know which one. Feel free to modify them. I have all these just sitting around, and I want to get them out there so they might see some use. If this is in the wrong Forum, please link to the correct one, and I will move this discussion there. (It was originally- I've moved it since)

The Raider is a versatile class with a complete disregard for safety. He will deal high damage to his enemies, mark himself, then buff them against marked. The Raider has high trap resist and high scouting chance. He can easily dispatch lesser foes, but be careful he does not meet his match.

Soldier

The Soldier is a simple man, skilled in arms, and a powerful leader. He specializes in consistent if low damage and non-healing support. While not very smart, he is very wise, and has a strange attunement to time.

Shade-

The Shade is a tank class designed to absorb damage, then regain the lost health. With low HP, the Shade can perish easily, but will restore health with every action. The Shade will not eat and suffers no damage from starvation, but receives no HP or Stress heal during the meal phase.

All allies without “Tolerant” quirk take +10% stress damage. At end of a successful quest, all unafflicted allies gain the “Tolerant” quirk. Can only be recruited if there are at least 5 heroes in your graveyard.

A porter is literally someone who carries your stuff. The idea is he would be nearly useless in combat, but puts down a little more support than the antiquarian. He makes up for this in a similar way to the antiquarian- He increases the volume of your inventory. The Porter doubles the capacity of every non-gold stack- including heirlooms, food, and other provisions. The Porter carries two weapons: A study stave and a beloved flute.

The Hunter specializes in versatile damage, along with increasing the survivability of your team. Equipped with simple leather armor and a longbow, the Hunter is not a very tough hero, but makes up for it through her extreme ability to support your team. She has higher base accuracy that any other class, meaning she will almost never miss, but deals only moderate damage.

Grenadier

“The scent of Brimstone and a flash of light herald a man of little subtlety”

 

The Grenadier operates in a similar way to Brigand Vwulf. He marks a position in the enemy line with an explosive and then detonates it, dealing massive damage. He cannot detonate the explosives immediately, however- He has to wait a turn. Only one rank per side can be marked this way at a time (Across up to four possible grenadiers). He carries a musket and a sack of grenades.

Going for the classic British grenadier style, with the fur hat.

Pyromancer

“She weaves flame and fury into a tapestry of destruction, terrible to behold”

Her uncooled anger can decimate the enemies before her, but will occasionally singe her allies. She possesses no healing abilities, so she is dependant on her companions to keep her alive. In addition, many of her attacks increase the light level, making Pitch-Black darkness a little difficult to maintain.

The Aristocrat is a Vampire. She derives her power from consuming the blood of both allies and enemies; Her main combat ability, Flashing Fangs, applies bleed while buffing herself to heal from others’ bleed damage. She cares not for the purification of the Hamlet, but for the redemption of her own family, which has fallen from grace. (I’m assuming storyline, this is kind of irrelevant.) She is a tank-like Class, in that she absorbs damage. However, she does not have high HP; instead she constantly heals from bleed and attacks. The Aristocrat’s Bleed Resistance is locked at 200% and cannot be reduced. Designed in anticipation of the Crimson Court.
