Simple Standalone Vault Suit.

Pretty much as straight forward and simple as the title suggests. I would very much like to see a basic vault suit added to the game as a stand-alone item, preferably with its own texture file so that I might be able to retexture it (for personal use).

If someone decides that this is doable and would like to make something more of it, different color options like simple brown leather, army green and institute white would also be fantastic.

I am fully aware that there is a mod which adds 42 craftable vault suits to the game, but it is simply too much and too elaborate compared to what I am asking. I'm only looking for a very simple stand alone vault suit.

Thank you very much to whoever might consider this request.

@waffenbaum

that's an awesome question,

I think there were a couple of projects very similar to what you were looking for;

one added a CBBE conforming simple coveralls 'denim vault suit" as seen on the Ms Fix-It Gal,

it could be opened, closed, and 'battle-damaged'. It also came with optional "ones-ies" pajamas hehe.

another added a latex/neoprene-ish Vault Suit , except this one wasn't CBBE conforming.

it was however very much compatible with ArmorKeywords, and looks much nicer with a lot of other items!

they were both very easy to make a retexture for, and had pre-made transparent layers for

numbers and symbols you could put on the suit.

this included a "Pipboy" or "PipGal" and "Atomic Galleria" bowling logo.

I'll be darned if I can find them again though;

so many things get taken down, invisible-ized or moved...

Hopefully this'll jog someone's memory and they'll be able to point us in the right direction,

as, I'd like to get that Coveralls with Onesies mod again - it looks hilarious with the "Vault Tech Wizard" wizards hat and all.

the bowling shirt over the top of the coveralls results in a real "Ace Ventura: Vault Detective and Cable Guy" look.

Sadly mighty zog, a retexture and a standalone is not the same thing.

And it is a standalone version of the vault suit I would like to have in the game, not a recolor which replaces the existing suits.

Yeah, it's funny there are so many vault suit retextures and plenty of standalone clothing mods, but it's hard to find a standalone, craftable vault suit - apart of these sexy, skimpy, female only, but as I unterstand you need a single, standard vault suit (vanilla meshes + material swaps) to edit it and see how it was created.

I could make a vault suit for you, but I'm quite new to this community and I don't know how to share files, I don't think there's an option to attach files to private messages? I couldn't release it as my own mod, cause I would have to use some other users' textures.

Do you need a vault suit with a particular number or some decal instead of number? Does it have to be craftable? Chemistry Workbench or AWCKR?

The problem with vault suits is that there are 6-8 vaults and each one has a different suit, but in fact there are not actually different, they use different numbers, but share the same texture. I made a tutorial about it, after reading it you should learn how to use material swaps for retexturing vault suits. It requires the Creation Kit, with CK you can easy make a standalone item, obtainable with console commands. But adding recipes is also easy.
