Deleted2433418User Posted May 25, 2017 Share Posted May 25, 2017 Is there any mod out there that removes the bleeding,obnoxious rust on weapons and armor??Anybody with the slightest knowledge of weapons would know that RUST is a no-no on your Gun..period,you remove it,you take care of your Weapon and it takes care of you..period..It bugs the beejeebeez out of me to see socalled Military Factions like BoS and Gunners run around with splotched,rusty and ill-maintained weapons and armor.. it´s just offensive.. any sergent-Chef with a little self-respect would kick the idiot who showed up for deployment with equipment in such a sorry state up the Flag-pole and down again.. "it´s horrible kid..just horrible".. I could not care less about Raiders and settlers.. stupid gits deserves to get their arms or face blown to kingdom come if they don´t care about their guns.. but the BoS?? and the "Gunners"? correct me if i´m wrong but they are military organisations with a chain of command and the rest of the trimmings.. but,apparently,they have no regulations for maintenance of issued equipment? and no screaming NCO´s to kick good habits in to their sorry behinds??It makes me ,well,angrier than a hornet in an old tin can.. so,ranting aside,does anybody know of a mod that does what a good soldier would do? as in get rid of the dirt,rust and other unsanctioned crapola on weapons and armor?or ,better yet,can anyone make this happen? Watch some youtube tutorials on texture modding and after a weekend you will be able to do it on your own.You just need gimp to work on the textures. You not even need the Creation Kit for it. Also, there are already lots of texture replacers for armour and weapons available. You could merge those textures into one "rust remover mod", but don't forget to ask the mod authors first. It doesn't get rid of ALL the rust, more makes it seem like it's actually been cleaned in a post apocalyptic environment. I've done the super sledge already, if you want to see if it's like what you want, I'll post a picture.
