Hey, hope this is the right place to ask, apologies if not, I'd really appreciate any help. Problems are as follows:

. The sky is a mess. By "a mess" I mean it's like a whirlpool at times with the clouds ringed around the horizon only in a circular pattern, There are sort of dark triangles on the horizons at times too. The textures seem to be there, they're just jumbled. I was using Vivid Weathers and then changed to NAC. That was when the problems started with the clouds/sky. I disabled NAC and did everything I could that might've fixed it but now I just have a vanilla version of the same problem. I'm pretty comfortable installing and working with mods but this has me kind of stuck. Any ideas? I don't know where to find the problem here basically, the weather side of Bethesda games isn't something I'm used to fiddling with much. Where is all that stuff handled?

. The other problem is to do with the pip-boy map. The background map and the location icons are vastly out of alignment. DC is in the middle of the river according to markers for example. Again it's another weird alignment problem. I think it happened after the game did something weird to one of my "strings". I was able to use steam's verify cache integrity tool to restore it to its former state but then the map was borked as described. Again, I don't know how to fix it and I can't even find anyone else talking of the same issue : /

I'm normally ok at fixing and tweaking stuff by myself but these two have me stumped now. I'm guessing it's maybe strings and script related but I have no idea about any of that. Help would be greatly appreciated. I could just reinstall everything but I'd rather not for the immensity of that task and also because I'd rather use the problems to learn how to fix new things if possible. Thanks if you read this far either way, take care

Is the sky still messed up on a fresh game because if it is not then something with you save got fouled when you changed mods mid play through (removing mods from an active play through can cause major problems).  As far as the pipboy map I have never seen anything like that occurring but are you using any mods that alter the pipboy or its map in any way?  It is possible that what ever is causing you sky error is responsible for the map issues but I cannot imagine how.  With the way that BGS games are optimized or not, without what your mod load im not sure where to point to blame the problem.  Are there any other mods that you have changed in your loadorder because there could have been some unexpected conflicts.

I think I'm going to have to regretfully start a new game and see, I'll tell you if it works. It's bound to have been me swapping out Vivid Weathers yeah, I kind of hoped that I'd be able to ultimately fix it though.

I'm using Cartographer map markers and the satellite map mod but again I can't find where the problem lies. There was no problem until something happened to one of my "strings" (can't remember details)and I had to restore it through Steam. I was concerned at the time but again it's frustrating to be unable to actually just get in there and fix it :(

I don't think it's a load order problem. I don't use any other weather, lighting or map mods or anything that I think could possibly interfere. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply, I'll try starting a new game :)

I was able to fix the map but even on starting a new game, the sky is still broken :( Really getting on my nerves now.

The map problem usually comes from uninstalling a map texture i.e Satellite map, that was higher resolution than the original. It's permanently stuck in the save by the seems. Just thought I'd mention that in case someone else has that issue and looks here.

I was actually able to fix it by just removing every trace of satellite maps, maybe got lucky. It does seem to have been ultimately the source of the problem.
