Hey I'm trying to replace the main menu video - The one called MainMenuLoop.bk2.

I need an easy converter for an mp4 video

Maybe someone can even convert the video for me?

This is the video I'm trying to replace the menu with

The password to see the video is tunnelsnakesrule

You'll need to use Rad Video Tools to convert your .mp4 file; it's free to use though. Once the conversion is complete, simply rename the extension to .bk2

Looking at the footage, you've unfortunately got a lot of artifacting due to having your bitrate too low in whatever software you've used to record it in (as it's night-time footage, it's much more noticable)

Once you've converted the file, it'll be even more prevalent due to the compression method that Rad uses.

I finally got it working but you are right about how it's recorded, It was first time using OBS

Probably have to re-record with OBS and a different time of day or higher bitrate

But still, I'm pretty happy with how my menu turned out.

Thanks

It can be quite difficult to find reliable information when it comes to settings to use in OBS, as most of the guides tend to be aimed at streaming video; best to experiment with 10 second clips, and keep tweaking your settings until you find one that you're happy with. I'm in the process of reinstalling all my mods atm, but if memory serves me well, I was using a bitrate of at least 8000 and getting excellent quality footage with no artifacting (even at night) However, don't be surprised to find that a 3-4 minute video will be around the 5gb mark.

As a general rule, the outcome of the video, once it's been re-encoded and compressed, is entirely dependent on the quality of the source video. Good luck.
