Equipping Overhaul bug

I've been using All Geared Up until now, but I've noticed recently that it doesn't support bows which I use very frequently, so it's kind of annoying that they disappear every time I equip my swords. Then I installed Equipping Overhaul and everything was great, except one thing: When I equip my swords (I have Dual Sheath Redux Installed if it matters), their "ghosts" stay on my back so it looks like I have 4 swords. Then after some time they disappear, but when I sheath them, they stay invisible until they appear again.

 

Any suggestions?

I have used EO in connection with DualSheath too. Unfortunately they dont work well with each other. I ended up drawing my onehanded hammer while still holding my two-handed hammer. Or I drew my crossbow while still holding the hammer. Sometimes I even drew my hammer up to my chin instead the crossbow.....lol...was a good laugh.

They just dont work together. I got rid of DualSheath eventually. Only difference now is that shields are not on NPCs backs. NPCs rarely had a staff equipped on their back anyway even before I used EO and only DualSheath.

So my only advice unfortunately is to get rid of either mod. Remember to use a script scalpel to get rid of leftover script instances in your savegame.

I'm most likely gonna go back to all geared up then because it needs to look somewhat cool for my videos

it's a shame though, I was hoping for a nice co-op of the mods

maybe some less popular mods like these would work

On another note I would like to add that there is another thing about DualSheath which is often somewhat neglected in modding altogether. DualSheath is an incrediby script heavy mod. I dont think this has to do with your problem, but I would like to mention it anyway.

Sometimes less is more, if you know what I mean. Without it your game might run smoother actually.

Aw man, but that's one of my favorites. xD I need it for coolness! Since I use dual wield a lot, it's pretty unimmersive without it.
I do have issues with FPS and stuttering and I've been tweaking the game for some time now after getting back into the gist of it. It's gotten better after downloading loads of performance mods, but it's still not quite there yet. Somebody told me to uninstall 50% of my script heavy mods, but I'm having a hard time eliminating them because I'm trying to keep both aesthetics and interesting gameplay.

Well maybe there is other things you might rather get rid of. Post your loadorder and maybe I can see other script heavy mods you might rather get rid of.

I just reinstalled the game and reverted to all geared up and dual sheath redux, but the annoying disappearing is still there
the perfect sheathing and unsheathing only lasted for one gameplay lol, why did I have to touch anything

I've got rid of some scripted mods I could live without, but it doesn't seem I've hit the spot

update: it seems ultimate combat 3.0 just got out so I might get rid of all the other combat mods and just use this one because it's apparently lighter on the script
