Chrome won't open NMM?

I really didn't know how to title this.

Hi. So, I went to download SkyUI. I just downloaded the Mod Manager, and when I pressed the button, I dialogue option popped up in Chrome saying "Do you want to open this with Skyrim Nexus"-something or other. I don't remember. Thinking this was how Chrome was referring to NMM, I checked the box to always do this and hit yes. Now, nothing will open in NMM and I can't find the setting to turn whatever I did off.

I feel dumb. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Thank you.

just to see if I understand , you tried downloading the mod , you checked that it always does so with NMM , but no file was actually downloaded?

have you checked NMM's downloads , to see that the mod never really got downloaded?

not sure about doing any of this in Chrome , since I mainly use Firefox for this

but as far as I know , it should work with Chrome

try restarting NMM , and check if any file was downloaded

while downloading mods , it should show at the bottom the bandwidth of the download (up to 1024 kbps if I recall correctly)

and under the logs at the bottom , it should show that it downloads a file , and show the progress

so try and download a file , and see what happens

If you have any more information about the problem (should it persist) , report back here , and we could try to further help you

so I was able to use Chrome and download files properly

first , you should update NMM to the latest version

when it installs , just make sure to allow it to associate with the links (it's on by default , so you just need to press next when you install it)

afterwards , open NMM as admin , and open the settings menu (two cogs at the top)

under the Download Options tab , use the Chrome\Windows 8.x fix

last , make sure that you are logged in through NMM

that should do the trick , and allow you to download mods properly
