Timed Streetlights

Hey Guys,

 

I've been thinking about this for some time. I need streetlights to only be on at night (say 7pm till 7am), I'd like it even better if they wouldn't use power during the day, but I'll take visual over functional.

Would this be possible to do?

howdy jojo4u.

indeed, there are some options.

 

there was a electrical parts pack "better conditional logic field switches"

etc. one of those was toggleable on-off to the in-game weather system.

I can't for the life of me find them now, they appear unlisted or part of CreationClub.

 

I also recommend looking into fellow NMM-er

nexite "massigest" as they have some great ideas for XOR switches and electrical systems in your settlements.

 

there are then interval switches that you can also append in CK

they can be set in 12 hour modulus too.

 

you can use these to overload your power grid and do

"just-in-time" so as you can have effective power ~60 from a 20 power grid.

some 'dedicated' fans have also made 8bit and 16bit 'emulators' from electrical grid parts,

haha.

and I hope to see more modders make more switches and electrical parts in the future.

that's a good one.

 

a1a3a6a9's components work well with a1a3a6a9-ers

though I've had a few what-the's with it.

see, the case of the mysterious lights that turn on when you go to walk away, but not when you're looking at them hehe

(which, that'd be an awesome switch if it was supposed to do that, talk about 'accidental discovery')

 

they're nice logic gates for 'shunting the mains' in emergency,

or as failsafes for the 'red alert'/'alarm lighting' hehe.
