Help with reload animation.

Hey,

 

i'm a French modder and i've done some armor mods on Skyrim, and today I would like to creat some animation for Fallout 4.

 

I've never done any animations but I would like to know If you guys had a good tutorial about animation in Fallout 4, any tutorial about animation would realy help me.

 

I'm trying to modify the gun animation so it looks different (like iron man power gauntlet instead of two hands carrying the gun).

 

if someone who knows well animations in F4 could PM me that would be awsome, I want to ask you a bunch of questions. I'll credit you in my mod whene It finished ^^

The basic workflow for weapon animations (custom ones) would be: Convert vanilla animation > create your new baseline animation from vanilla (baseline one can be used to create all the different types of weapon animations quicker, think of it as a template) > convert animation file to fallout 4 hkx using havok tools > in Creation kit implement custom animation file path with a new path directory by creating a new additive human race subgraph data table

 

 

These are the resources I used when first learning how to make custom animations for a weapon. There is no doubt a lot of trial and error along the way but these get your started with the core stuff and tools at least:
