GECK Create lip files

Bonjour everybody,

I'm trying to create a modification for Fallout NV. Even though this game seems to be very old, I would like to play it with the mod.

My aim is to add a follower with voice files. I am done with everything (scripting etc.). But I am stuck at one point:

When I add the voice files (they are .wav files), I am not able to generate the lip files.

Before anyone asks: I have already done the thing with the FonixData.dll and lex folder. Also I placed the wav in the folder of mod and renamed it correctly. The thing is that the "generate lip file" button is visible and I can click it, but the lip file won't appear in the folder.

The thing that messes me up that it worked the first time i tried it, but the lip file was useless since the npc haven't had any lip movements in-game.

Despite the fact that the game is old it would really brighten up my week of modding when anyone may be able to help me out with this.

Seeing you then,

Q5001, out!

Have you seen the "TIP: How to generate .lip files" in the wiki "Getting started creating mods using GECK" article? It's based on what madmongo posted awhile back on the subject.

My guess would be that your initial attempt created a "dummy lip file" with no content, and you need to delete it before you can create a new version.
