I've been toying around with the Halo Mapping Tool in single player. Unfortunately I seem to have permanently corrupted a couple of map files and made A10 crash. I created backups before I tried modding, but the backups seem corrupted as well. I also uninstalled the game, deleted all Halo files in both "My Documents > My Games" and in the main Halo directory. After reinstalling the changes that I made are still in affect and the map still crashes however. Is there something I can do to reverse the changes and get the game back to it's vanilla state? Thanks!

Halo CE corrupted map files, despite reinstalling?

A note to newcomers:
- HMT, HEK+, and many other old tools are very outdated and often corrupt maps. Instead, Google around for MEK, Moses Editing Kit. It's not a total replacement for the stock/vanilla Halo Editing Kit on its own, but we may soon no longer need the original HEK once other community developers finish their complementary open source projects.
- Halo PC (original, on-disc game) is obsolete. Halo Custom Edition is the future.
- Don't know where to start to get Halo Custom Edition setup and ready to use? Look no further than The Halo CE Ultimate Enhancement Guide!
- Lastly, OpenCarnage.net is currently one of the most active Halo CE forums.
