Been thinking about this for a while and i finally decided to make a formal mod request to the tallented modding community here on the nexus.

 

So my knowledge of mod development is pretty minimal but i am wondering if it is possible to make a mod that will limit the ammount of guns that spawn in the world and on npcs, basically i would like a more Mad Max  experience where the enemies mostly have melee weapons and some basic low level homemade weapons/improvised weapons. Would make the game so much more challenging and rewarding. Maybe limit higher tier guns to more experienced enemies like Minutemen, BOS, Gunners and Institute, and limit spawns to pre-war safes and vaults/bunkers.

It sounds like you want raiders to mostly use melee, but other factions to continue having firearms. if that is the case, then try this:
