Cannot Make Comments / Scroll Image Gallery / Download Files On Google Chrome

Hi, I can't seem to make comments / scroll through the image galleries (home page or on mod pages) or download files at all from the Nexus using Google Chrome. This has been happening for about a week now.

I tried clearing my cookies for the site, but the issue still persists. For now I've been using internet explorer which works fine, but I'd much rather use my browser of choice (currently using Chrome to type this since it's on the forums).

Can someone tell me what exactly is going on here and what I need to do to fix this?

Tried it, and it works for like 2 seconds but then stops working again. I guess I can live with this, but I'm guessing it's because I'm using Adblock? I recently had to turn it on because some of the adverts on the site just became waaay too intrusive (i.e. diverted my window focus to where the advert was and locked it there, playing audio all the time etc).

Try refreshing several times in a row. Or try going to browser settings, deleting both cookies and cache, then restarting browser. It's supposedly related to Nexus updating their site several days ago, and if you happened to be browsing during the update, it left some broken stuff in your cache.

If you're still having problems after doing that, I'd contact Nexus staff in the Bug Report area.

If you're using default settings with Adblock it shouldn't stop anything from working around here. If however you're like me and you predominantly use whitelists instead of blacklists (in other words, I block remote images, remote scripts, XML requests, objects, pings, other, the lot by default unless I explicitly allow them, which is whitelisting)... then you might be blocking something. Best way to test that is by temporarily disabling Adblock on Nexus - if it's still a problem then log out and back in, else it's probably just Chrome but I exclusively use Firefox so I'm not much good in advising on anything else. If it's not Adblock, if it's not the cookie then I dunno.

Fact of the matter is, if Adblock can sufficiently block both YouTube ads and auto-play while still being able to load the relevant video then it will work fine on the Nexus.

Speaking of this matter... the link to the post on the topic list is blocked by my Adblock settings because it has "Google" in the title.

Came back from holiday and can confirm that it was AdBlock - I temporarily disabled it and everything worked as normal. I wish I hadn't needed to enable it in the first place but there you go - hopefully those intrusive adverts have been replaced by now.
