Spell Creation: Can't Find Magic Visual Effects

Hello:

 

So I am in the process of creating my first spell but I can't seem to find the FX I'm looking for and I'm hoping someone could help me out:

 

I'm looking for that red/pink exploding ball when you get hit by a dragon. It's a pinkish bolt that once it hits, it expands outwardly like a nuclear explosion/bomb. The Phenderix Magic spell Blood-Eradication has the exact same effect. Essentially I'm looking for the Casting art, casting light, hit effect art, hit shader, etc ... everything i the visual effects section pretty much to ensure I'm making the correct effect...

 

Can anyone help me out with this/show me how to find these values/know the effect I'm talking about?

I don't know if it's the thing you're talking about, but I instantly thought of the transmogrify effects.

Dunno, might be something entirely different.

I'll have to try it when I get home but I finally found a video on YouTube of the Effect here

That's the same thing as transmogrify, except it expands further. As for making it look just like that, I haven't the foggiest.

 

Actually, if you pop up the console and spawn the chicken...

  • Player.PlaceAtMe 10929F

... you should see it in effect. It's not what you want I know, but it looks to be the same shader and texture.

Ahh I see what you mean! Well that's definitely partially it, but looks like maybe 1/3rd of the effect ... Maybe is there a way to maybe open phenderix's blood-eradication spell in CK? At least then i could see what the visual effects actually are?

I'm not too hot with effects and animations so I can't really help, but I'd certainly take a look at that shader.

 

Actually, here it is...

  • ExplosionIllusionMassiveDark01 [EXPL:000BECAF]

You're right, you can preview it in CK. Go to the explosion section and put BECAF into the filter, right click it and the option is there. Now you click on the Gamebryo entry at the bottom-left. Uncheck the ground plane for a better view, also tweak the animation speed so you can see it more slowly (you can manually edit it to 0.05 which is probably a good setting).

 

So what I think you're really looking at is...

  • IllusionDarkMassiveImod [IMAD:00022221]

As I said, I don't know how to manipulate explosions, the only thing I ever use them for is to spawn stuff.

LOL! I called it "Dark Phoenix Force Blast" :)

One last thing, Sensei...

Ok, so I'm trying to apply the transmogrify chicken effect to the spell. essential I want the "pink swirl" around any targets the spell hits. The problem is that anytime I add the effect to the spell under "effect item" .. well... the target turns into a chicken. lol. 

 

So how do I apply that effect WITHOUT having them turn into a chicken?
