Is there a mod that allows me to kill The Blades?

I HATE BLADES. They're useless, annoying and they're not even some serious group IT'S TWO OLD PEOPLE! They could get a heart attack any moment. Why am i supposed to do ANYTHING for them if all they'e doing is sit in their useless temple and be even more useless. "Kill the dragon or we won't help you", like they ever helped me before.

Is there a mod that makes it possible to "fail" that quest and kill both Delphine and Esbern? I don't really need anything special, i just want to get rid of the quest and not kill my Skyrim Yoda. (And maybe to slice Delphine in half)

LOL! I don't think Delphine is that old!

I think if you kill a nearby chicken, won't they attack you anyway? Or try stealing from them. Pick their pockets or something?

If you don't have it, I'd recommend Arthmoor's The Paarthurnax Dilemma, where you can refuse to kill him. I always use that mod as the entire point of TES since at least Daggerfall first came out is that you don't get railroaded into doing anything, least of all killing an ancient, noble creature against your will. YOU are the Dragonborn, not Del-bloody-phine!

It's a good mod. The only flaw is that the new dialogue is not voiced. I did look at the sound files to see if I could find a reasonable set of dialogue to cover the new interactions and splice them together, but

1. it would have taken months

2. Arthmoor would have to re-do the new conversations and text, as I could probably locate a reasonable facsimile conveying the sense, but not the actual dialogue he used.

Anyway, I don't know of a specific mod, apart from The Paarthurnax Dilemma (make sure you get a version for your version of Skyrim), but it should not be too hard to make one. Make them non-essential and maybe change the factions of The Blades, although if you are part of that faction... maybe make them neutral, so they will go hostile if you attack them, as if you make them enemy/hostile, they would never help you in the first place?

But it might also mean messing with quests, which is not my strong point.

PS, This is the SE version.

You're welcome.

You'll probably need to install it before you first speak to them, or maybe start a new game. That's the way of things with TES modding these days, sadly.

Nope, i got that wrong! Just install it and read your journal.

From the horse's mouth:

As long as you have not killed Paarthurnax, you can install this mod at any point and it will work just fine. I originally wrote it after my own main character had finished the MQ entirely and simply didn't want to kill him.

  • 3 years later...

If you are on OG skyrim then there is a mod that allows you to kill them, but on Skyrim SE there is not a mod that lets you directly kill the blades. You can find the kill blades quest just by searching it from google.
