PC- Modded Skyrim new game start issue.

Hello, all,

 

I am having a serious issue getting my Skyrim loaded into a usable game. I have read forums and watched youtube videos for the past 3 days trying to find all of the mistakes that I am making. SO let us get started.

 

I am playing Skyrim Legendary Edition with all DLC's. I am now using MO and trying to get better at learning all of its controls. It does allot. I have LOOT, FNIS, and SKSE installed into MO, and have used all of them. Yes, I am using WAY too many mods, but there are so many out there that are too good to pass up. You guys do some awesome work. And some of you need a girlfriend. LOL. I'm not judging I am using those mods too.

 

The problem started because I wanted to adopt more than 2 kids and I have been trying to use the Adoptable Children v3.3 mod by idioticidiot

as well as the four kids he has loaded in there.( They remind me of two of my kids LOL.)

 

So I read up as to why I was having trouble making the mod work in my existing game. It needs to be loaded into a new game in order for it to work with Hearthfire. No problem, and while I was at it I changed to MO. Noticed that everything was non MO supported, didn't think that was good, so I deleted NMM and all of its data files and loaded all 211 mods from the save files in my computer so that they would be MO controlled. This took forever. While I was at this, I deleted my copy of Skyrim from the drive it was in and reinstalled it into a larger drive on the same computer and have all of my game and mod files operating from that drive. F: in case it matters. Almost 100GB for one game, but I like it.

 

Now to the base of the issue. In order to get the new game to start and get into Helgen without collision issues with the wagons, and Scarecrow NPC's I drop my mods down to the mods that you see in the picture below, also seen in the picture is the overwrite file and load order. I hope that all helps. So I can get the game to play with that base loadout, then after Helgen tries to SAVE so I have a nice clean start point outside of the intro. But it will not let me save. it is greyed out. If I quit the game and then continue it will bring me to the last autosave, such as going in or out of a building.

 

Long story short, there are about 160 mods that I want to have in my game, and my PC can handle the load. It is a really nice, new Asus ROG, and I'm looking to have some great ENB's like Verdant, and PureWaters as well as just about as many Follower and child mods as I can throw at it. 6 kids, and about 30 followers. Maybe even a wife or three. NOt to mention I like Skyfall Estate and Dragonstead Estate for my base of operations. BUt getting all of this to work is starting to piss my (real world) wife off. She wants me to stop staying up until 5 AM working on reloading the darn intro scene. Even she has it memorized. But man am I becoming a pro at the sliders in Racemenu. LOl

After all of that, I forgot to tell you the main reason for why I am starting this as a new topic instead of just using one of the other 15 threads that address this issue.

 

I am not using STEAM. I use MO and SKSE and everything else that you all suggest, but due to really crappy internet out here in the sticks, I do not use Internet intensive sites like STEAM, I'd hate to wake up and say, hey let me play Skyrim today, just to find out that Windstream is down yet again.

 

Unless you can tell me a really great reason for why I should be using STEAM, as in STEAM would solve all of my issues. But all of the other posts that I have been reading were telling me ways to check settings and issues in STEAM, and that does not pertain to me. sooooooo. Yeah.

Skyrim is a Steam-exclusive game. So what you have is an illegal copy. You'll get no help from us.
