Unknown Interior NPC & Item Spawning Glitch

Okay so never in my whole time of modding FNV have i ever came across this glitch, but it is the most annoying thing to ever exist! whenever i enter an interior i will be spawned on a huge mess of items and NPCs and there is no way to move without having to using the teleport command. I don't have the slightest idea of what could cause this but it is truly pissing me off. I've had it happen in the shack beside Yangtze Memorial and the Goodsprings gas station. Any help at all would help.

(IDK why NMM copies all the disabled ones but the inactive plugins have a "0" beside them)

Okay, 150 plugins, though I count only 136 active (might have missed one or two). Might be you are pushing your system limit for the "plugin cap".

Move any "inactive" plugins out of the game "Data" folder. They count against the "plugin cap" because they get loaded by the game engine if found, and can cause "Missing Master" problems as well as issues such as you are seeing. If you can't get down to roughly 130 by moving inactives out, try to prioritize and uninstall (on a temporary "test" basis) the less important plugins until you do so. If that does resolve your problems, then see the wiki "Merged Plugin Guidelines for Personal Use" article on how to merge plugins (which is not the same as a "merge patch" file) to get your active count down while still keeping the mods.

Be sure to rebuild your "MergedPatch.esp" afterwards, as any change to the mod indexes will not otherwise be reflected correctly.

Don't overlook the power of a simple "cold restart" (aka "cold boot"). Before spending a lot of time chasing a problem, see if it's merely temporary by having Windows "Shut down" (power off) your computer, waiting 30 seconds (so RAM completely discharges it's contents), and powering on again.

I tried all the recommendations you gave me but none seem to fix the problem. I did manage to fix a small frame stutter from a glitchy plugin but I still cannot play the game if this problem persists.

Then I'm afraid it's a mod conflict. You need to engage in "Mod Conflict Isolation". But I suggest you first run through the "Checklist" in that article first.

Rejoice! I finally found the issue. The mod CAM - Chems Alcohol and Meds (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50817/?) seems to be a corrupted plugin. The MoreChems has the .esp file extension but its file header marks it as an .esm. i guess this results in a spawning issue for interiors that have the items in this mod in them. Thanks for the Help Dubious! Beware for anyone who has this plugin in their load order.

 

 

(Just realized the problem was fixed in the V9 Update for this mod. :dry:)
