Consistent CTD upon loading/changing into a cell (AKA d3d9.dll is the bane of my existence)

I have been recently attempting to use the wrapper version of enb series v318 but whenever it is active I crash upon loading a new cell, doesn't matter if I am entering the game world or entering a house, I always crash. Oddly enough if I am already in a external cell then coc'ing doesn't seem to affect me. I have tried figuring this problem out myself but at this point I am at my wits end.

I have tried uninstalling all mods that weren't related to stability and debugging and running with only crash fixes and skyui installed, even then I crashed. It was only when I got rid of d3d9.dll and enbhost that the game started to work right. I don't know if I am missing anything but here are my config files contents and the results from the dump file I got from the crash. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ProxyLibrary is not going to do anything because EnableProxyLibrary is off. Try these instead:

My usual recommendations:

  • Make sure you have the SKSE Memory Patch set up.
  • Install Crash Fixes and be sure to read the description.
  • Install Bug Fixes. Not absolutely required, but it has some nice fixes that aren't covered by USLEEP.
  • Install Load Game CTD Fix. It fixes a thread race condition when loading save games.

Also, did you download the latest ENBseries .318? Boris has updated it several times in the past few days without changing the version number.

Do you have any background apps that could be interfering? Often apps that create an overlay can cause crashes. It's not usually specific to cell transitions, but you did say that you ran with barely any mods and it still crashes. Culprits include MSI Afterburner/Riva Tuner Statistics Server, Nahimic, GeForce Experience (ShadowPlay?), Razer, FPS meters, Steam overlay (probably not, but you could try it), and anything that says "OSD".

Sorry for not responding sooner. Afraid I have already tried that, I had a few of those programs on my computer, but since then have been unistalled/disabled the exception being steam overlay (although I did try starting the game with it off)
