darkestdungeon Flashback Events (Shieldbreaker dlc content)... Can they be removed?

I know this is a tremendous question to ask, and also very early to ask it, but has anyone had any success at all with editing out/ creating a mod that prevents these events from occurring? I love everything else about the new dlc so far that I've seen, but camping with a shieldbreaker is torture.
