Getting an error trying to import a file into the editor

Besides all the other errors that have stopped me every step of the way to doing what I assumed would be a simple thing to do (adding some custom tattoos), and fixing them, I've finally hit a stonewall at once again, what I assume should be a simple process, yet it is somehow complicated again.

 

Here's the error I get when trying to import a png file into the editor, it is the WOTC SDK if that helps in some way.

I had this problem recently, and i've figured it out:

 

if your XCOM 2 user path (in the mod buddy" is set to Steam\steamapps\common\XCOM 2 War of the Chosen SDK\XComGame\ , you can only open files from inside the WOTC sdk folders, if its set to the vanilla SDK, you can only open files in the vanilla SDK. Don't worry, though, the new WOTC SDK (if you have the full version) has all the vanilla assets copied, so you don't really need the original folder when importing.
