Merc Armor mods issue

This is a pretty minor problem but I'm glad for any help.

I like the looks of the Merc Charmers mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/46220), but regular Merc armor is rubbish stat wise, just clothes that are way too heavy for their DT. So, I have tried using stat adjusting mods, such as the light variant of (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53460), or (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58897), but any time a stat changing mod is active, Merc Charmers doesn't work. This is confusing to me because I have separate mods for other armor types changing appearance and stats that work just fine together. I've even tried using a mod merging program to see if it would help, but it didn't. Is there some way to fix this problem?

Thanks for any advice.

It's probably because the first mod replaces the outfits , and the other ones also replace the same outfits

so whichever one loads last will overwrite changes from the previous

what you could do is fire up FNVEdit , make sure all these plugins are loaded , find the armor , and carry the specific stats from each of the mods that you want

so take the model from the first mod , and the stats from the other mod

make sure to copy these changes to a new plugin , give it a name , and load it after these , and you should be fine

I'm not sure I know enough of how this works to try that just yet. I only just learned how to use Merge Plugins this morning, so this stuff is pretty new to me.

It's odd though, as I have a mod that changes the appearance of raider armor, and then another mod that changes the DT value of raider armor, and they work just fine together. It had been my experience that changing the mesh/texture and changing the in-game stats were basically separate categories.

the difference is usually that some mods change the appearance of items without having any plugin

such mods are usually compatible with mods that change stats

the problem in this case arose from having plugins in both mods , which led to the conflict

I'm glad to got it working . It's not a difficult type of patch to make , and it's a useful skill to have
