Inafog Posted November 16, 2017 Share Posted November 16, 2017 Believe it or not, I have not yet played Skyrim. But after hundreds of hours with Oblivion, I will soon take the plunge. I write this to ask what you think of my planned mods list.I do not want a very heavily-modded game, and I am not concerned with big graphics mods. Here is what I have selected: -The four unofficial patches (of course)-A Quality World Map-Guard Dialogue Overhaul-Immersive Armors-Immersive College of Winterhold-Immersive Weapons-Interesting NPCs-Mod Organizer-Realistic Ragdolls & Force-SKY UI Are there any of these you would not recommend? Are there any mods you consider really essential that I should add? Finally, regarding archery: my character will probably be a Bosmer archer, so I wonder if any archery mods are essential. The ones I have looked at are: -ABT - Arrows & Bolts Tweaks-Proper Aiming-Real Bows (which I think is only cosmetic)-Realistic Archery-Archery Gameplay Overhaul (which apparently makes any others unnecessary) What would you recommend regarding archery modifications? iXenite Posted November 16, 2017 Share Posted November 16, 2017 Archery Gameplay Overhaul goes quite well with Real Bows (which is entirely cosmetic). It's the mod I use for archery. I suggest using the recommended mods from Archery Gameplay Overhaul - they all complement that mod very well. If you have all of the DLC for Skyrim be sure to get the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch instead of the older USKP. You will still need the HD DLC patch though. In addition to that, if you don't mind using modded perk trees - then Ordinator is one I recommend. Ordinator:https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68425/? I also suggest getting Interesting NPC's, Inconsequential NPC's and Immersive Patrols. They liven up the game world in various different ways. fullarmor2 Posted November 23, 2017 Share Posted November 23, 2017 I found a really cool mod on the net, just go into mods at the menu screen. Haven't seen it on Nexus yet. Its called Every School Damage Magic ! I like it. Also you need the awesome shout mods that are available. Just search on Nexus. I'm using Thunderchild, Better Dragon Shouts(oldrim but works great), and Dragonfire(oldrim mod but works great). Also theres a mods that adds an alternate route to High Rothgar. Its a huge internal cave system in the mountain. Very well done. I love it, plus you get to encounter the ghosts of ancient Greybeards. How cool is that?!
