Serana Questions

I sided with the Dawnguard. I have a couple of questions about Serana.

What does she eat? Is she feeding on Isran when no one is looking, or does she go out hunting bandits, or something else entirely?

Serana's family used to worship Molag Bal. Other than submitting the women to the ritual, what does this look like? He's the 'Lord' of rape, murder, and domination. Why would a woman worship this Daedra?

Does Serana or her family worship Molag Bal still? Does she have any feelings regarding him? I ran the haunted house quest with her expecting a comment or two, but got nothing.

General Question about Vampires. Why are most vampires hostile? They yell at me about blood and feeding, but when my character is a vampire she cannot feed on corpses.

I've been wondering what she eats as well. I don't know a lot of the Elder Scrolls lore concerning vampires, but it might be that she is able to survive on the blood of animals. In other fiction, this is usually portrayed as a last restort; some vampires may find the taste disgusting and the idea low (as they're supposed to be the ultimate predator); it may not give the same type of energy as human blood, but is enough to sustain them. Maybe this applies to Serana?

While Serana has a lot of reactivity during the Dawnguard chain, and some fun specific lines in certain locations, outside of those instances she reacts like any other Skyrim follower with regard to dialogue. That is, in normal dungeon delving, questing, and combat, there will be the same type of general lines that other followers have.

You learn more about her and her background as you progress through the Dawnguard quest chain.

There is more stuff on the wiki.

As for vampire hostility, most of the encounters in the wild are of them trying to lure the player in to feed. They will often be found among the corpses of Vigilants of Stendarr, wearing their armor, and call out to the Dragonborn as they pass. They will eventually end up attacking, but are not immediately hostile. The attacks on towns and such are basically a result of them being drunk on power due to the coming prophecy and brazenly attacking settlements.

After you have begun the Dawnguard quest chain, Volkihar vampires will attack because you're their enemy and trying to prevent the prophecy from coming to pass.

There are other vampires out in the world that are not automatically hostile, that are living among mortals in disguise in order to feed. There are radiant quests with the Dawnguard faction to hunt these down.

Yep, they tell me my blood is foul. Silly Cave Vampires and Accidents, they should know better.

It's a territorial thing, just kill them, there will be less, but certainly better vampires. There is simply too much diluted blood.
