Glass, glazing

I'd like to be able to fix up windows in existing structures in settlements like Sanctuary, and other places like Diners, outdoor Cinema server, etc.

 

I know there are ways to do this with settlement mods - like carefully placing in new wall parts with included windows, etc. It seems incredibly fiddly.

 

But I'm useless at settlement building. It would be cool to scrap broken glass in existing windows with a quick click, then click on a simple "glass sheet" in Workshop Menu and pop it into the empty window as a replacement. Job done, mate. (Bob the Builder would be proud).

I'm not in Fallout 4 to create luxury condominiums, I'm shooting raiders, blowing up stuff, and eyeing up the ladies.

 

My best settlements look like lean-to outdoor toilets with wonky doors. So repairing existing stuff quickly is meaningful.

 

My apologies if this has been asked for before. I had a look but could not see it.

 

If anyone knows of a mod that does exactly this, please do let me know. I do have most of the settlement mods.

indeed, snap-n-build, elianora etc had some just glass pieces,

as Petard or Oxhorn, MxR builds etc mod-review.

 

there was a mod;

"beerbottle glass walls/nukacola bottle walls",

that can glow with like "Children of Atom glow-plasmonics' / 'lenticular glass'.

I added to that the leibniz-gasket etc for it's shadow properties.

another adds 'recycled glass'. it's like a 'glass-decal' so like a poster, rather than a proper solid chunk,

so its gentler on your PC hehe.

 

I figure they're high-verisimilitude as post2077 a lot of glass would turn murky hehe.

 

 

 

Dread74 and Rorax have made some awesome glass textures if you're looking for that murky glass look etc.

you can make your stained-glass-windows in all kinds of different texture patterns;

say a 'ghost' window, which has an outline from someone standing in front of it at 2077 etc...

or different tesselation-mosaics.

 

What I'd like to see,

is some more neon or glass statues like Asaka glass.

stuff that changes color relative to ambient lighting conditions.

Thanks for getting back to me! I know about the glazing in concrete walls mod - but that only works for concrete wall structures. I had a look through Elianora's mods but she doesn't seem to cover glass.

I've got a couple of other mods from her - she's amazing (Skyrim, FO4...).

 

Snap-n-build has gone from Nexus, but I happen to have an unused download of it, so I'll put that into the game and see what it does.

I had a look for the others but I got distracted into buying a Nuka Cola coffee mug and a Vault Tec glass for myself on-line. ( :geek: ).

 

I think I'll try the Snap-n-Build mod before I end up buying myself a bobble-head collection or something... :happy:

 

If anything else comes to mind, I'd appreciate it!
