Mine problems

I put a bunch of bottlecap mines all over the place while taking the castle. I mean i really covered the place in mines. Then i took the castle, and set it up as a settlement.
Now, if i try to load in or near the castle, it blows all the non-essentials to high hell. They are setting off the mines all over the place. Which of course, immediately turns the entire settlement hostile.

Is there a console command i can use to stop the mines, or freeze the settlers long enough to pick up the mines? Maybe a mod that fixes this permanently?

You could try "tai" (toggle ai) and "tcai" (toggle combat ai). If they don't trigger the mines then, pick them up.

 

BUT, usually non hostiles don't trigger the mines. Sounds like they are already hostile, and therefore triggering them.

Tai worked, thank you so much. It took like a half hour to find all the mines.

It might have been a sim settlements issue, or maybe it was because when i placed the mines it was not a settlement but a hostile zone. Either way, i solved it now. Now i just have to figure out how to close the thread
