Removing Mods for later re uploading

I have had a mod thats been on the nexus since 2014 (I think ..hm) it was my first mod EVER made! and it still works :D however there's some issues with it, the characters head mesh isn't the same color as the body and...maybe a pathfinding problem somewhere ... idk.. i wanted to Install the mod first, then delete it from the site so i can later re upload it back when i, at the very least get the head mesh thing fixed. how would i go about doing that?

Just fyi (if it even matters but) nobody's even downloaded the mod it's basically been hidden since i uploaded it. i kept it hidden because of those earlier stated issues and at the time i ..was going to fix them but i don't know how to update mods :/ so i was thinking, i would temporarily remove the mod fix it up and re upload it with new pics and a better description. a fresh start if you will. any way i can go about doing that?

Yeah, remove the file. Go here https://rd.nexusmods.com/

Click your profile picture in the upper right, go to "Files(Mine)", find the file and click "Delete this mod". As for a reupload, it seems like if the mod is a revamp or redone version it should be okay. And if it's been hidden all this time then that doesn't matter since nobody has seen it :) You update mods by uploading a new file and removing the old file. Before you erase your mod you could take a look at the new interface and file page to familiarize yourself with it. :)

Alright then, thats done. so, i've seen mods that say v4 or v11 er whatever if i have to delete the old mod and upload the newer version of the mod won't it still say v1?. (you know just for future reference) what if i just re upload the mod, won't it just overwrite the old mod? or will i just have two versions of the same mod?

The v4 and v11 are what you yourself put in. When I do it I just go with something easy, like v 1 or v 1.1. You can delete the old version and always call it v1 too, entirely up to you. When you upload a new version you get the choice to set other versions as old files, optional files or main files.

When you say reupload the mod, do you mean reupload the whole mod, or the file(file inside the mod)?

Ah..Okay then.

Well, lets say i have a mod already on the site and i edit that mod in the Creation kit, and then upload the edited version of that mod to the site. i figured it would just overwrite the mod that already exists. like "Zorra the follower already exists, would you like to overwrite?" you know something like that.

Edit:

Oh, and just a question but..would you kindly suggest any good names for a fire chucking flame loving argonian lass? i'm creating a new follower and allz i came up with was "Evein" as her name..and that doesn't really sound...Argonian. Any suggestions? you know if you don't mind, since a have ya.

The site doesn't work like the NMM. You can make your newly uploaded file erase a current uploaded file but you need to choose that option yourself when uploading or after uploading. As for a name for the argonian that isn't the goal of this thread

but I usually check uesp wiki. http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Argonian_Names
