A little help please

First of all, hello everyone...

I am building a totally new player house located in whiterun and I am making this topic ahead of time to get help in building my house. Instead of posting a new topic every time I have a question, I am going to post my questions in here asking for the help. I would really appreciate it if others could help me make this mod very special and unique.

Thanks

Now, my first question arises....

I would like to make it where anyone who uses the pool strips off their clothing to swim... It is pretty weird having a pool and looking over and seeing your follower trying to swim with a full suit of heavy armor on them and their weapon.

My pool is already built, it has the walls, stairs, flooring and I have even put water in it. But whenever I try to use the pool in the game, I get in without taking off my gear and so do my followers.

Take a look at Bathing Beauties or Beefcake - Luxury Suite SE, install the SKSE Patch and try it out You will find pools that strip and re-dress NPCs and the Player when they get in and out. You can look inside the patch to see how it works and how it relates to the MCM menu that lets the player control which armour slots to strip and restore.

However, just imitating the same functionality that is present in other mods, is not enough to make your own mod 'very special and unique'. You need to think up a new angle - to improve on what I and other people have already done. Otherwise, your mod is just ho-hum, 'another one of those', 'seen it all before'. Post some ideas on how my scheme might be improved on, and I will gladly give an opinion on how 'do-able' they might be.

I like that mod, this is the first time I have seen it. Nice interior look, warm and inviting. I wonder, would it be possible to use the wooden textures from your mod inside my mod?

What I am attempting on doing is creating a new house which is located within the Whiterun city limits that has multiple beds for followers, multiple beds for children (Multiple adoption mod), has a pleasant layout, is warm and inviting like yours but also has functionality. I don't much care for the breezehome or mods that change that house. What I could not understand is if you are the Thane of whiterun, why do they give you a house in the market districts.... I would think a Thane would be someone of importance. Even the Wind district would be a step down for you. So my mod has created a new location inside Whiterun which is above the wind district (although still a part of it) and below the Jarl's Castle. The way I am building it is, that when they were building Dragonsreach, the then Jarl was living here until the castle was built around the dragon. Let me show you what I mean...

Image 3 - This shows the location where my home will be located (at the present there is no building there because I am working on the interior first. Maybe, we could partner together and build your Luxury Suite inside Whiterun instead and make it where there is more room for more adoptions and such.

It takes forever for me to build anything in the creation kit because I have to use the original skyrim CK to build the mod, then port it to SSE and use the CK in SSE to adjust everything. If I could find some help in doing this, it would be superb. This layout took me about 16 days to build and it even is compatible with JK's Whiterun mod.

Here, I just took this screen shot inside my Skyrim CK to show you the location and also the amount of room we are talking about. My mod is already uploaded to the nexus but I have not posted it yet for others to D/L. I would rather wait until I have a completed mod which then can be posted for others to D/L it. Anyone who wants to help with this mod, I will gladly grant them permission to help.

Sorry, I can't give you permission to copy the texture files from the BBLS for your own mod but if you hunt around in the Internet you can probably find some of your own that are free of licencing restrictions and will give your house its own unique look and feel.

There might still be a way to do it, though. Suppose you mastered your mod to BBLuxurySuite.esm and make BBLS a requirement of your mod. Then you could reference all the BBLS resources (textures, pool-stripping scripts and so on) without having to create your own. Does that appeal? We have always given people blanket permission to do that and we purposely made it as an esm (even back in the original version five years ago) for precisely that reason. You could still make your mod your unique way but save yoursef a whole heap of work by using our mechanics as a scaffold. Personally, being utterly selfish, I'd be delighted if you did that but I wouldn't want to 'constrain your artistic integrity' :D

Well, since you want the effect to work on multiple actors, potentially at the same time, the easiest way to achieve this would probably be to use magic effects

You could apply an active magic effect to the actor that enters the bath, and remove said magic effect again when they leave the bath

If there is a way to register the forms of all unequipped items (which Im not sure of), you could re-equip the items when the magic effect ends

This would use the events OnEffectStart and OnEffectFinish

Im not sure about current functionality of SKSE64, but 32 bit SKSE has the function GetWornForm(Int ItemSlot), where ItemSlot is hexadecimal (from 0x01 to 0x80000000)

This could be easily used to register all equipped items to easily re-equip them at a later time

However I think for now it would be safe to assume SKSE64 does not have this function

To actually apply and remove the magic effect, you could extend the script to ObjectReference and use a trigger volume with events OnTriggerEnter and OnTriggerLeave
