Problem with Convenient Horses

Ok, so I have Convenient Horses running and it works fine with vanilla and custom NPCs. However I am experiencing two unique problems:

1) If I have mounted followers, my character jumps off the horse three or four times before he actually stays mounted. Of course, this makes the followers dismount also. Pretty annoying, and there is no help from the author. of course.

2) Custom NPCs who come with their own horses are doing weird things.

Example: Rigmor (my absolute favorite follower) has her own horse, Ren. Ren is supposed to be auto-mounted by Rigmor every time the player mounts his horse. This doesn't happen. Instead, I have to ask her each time where her horse is. This isn't right, and checking with the author, I am told it is more than likely a conflict with the horse mod.

Example: Clara Goldspirit has her own horse Mia. If I don't specifically dismount at a stables, Mia will follow Clara into my house and remain their until I tell Clara to follow me, and then I have to mount my own horse to get Mia to come outside. Again the author is telling me it's the horse mod I'm using. I am inclined to believe these authors, but I can't gt any support for the Convenient Horses mod either.

I do have the latest version, and it's second to last on my load order. I'm at a loss. Can I fix it with TESV edit or something? Is there like a true/false switch I could edit maybe. Should I get rid of it and use something else. I am running Skyrim LE. I have also used Horses For Followers mod and did not like that almost immediately. I removed it before starting a new game. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
