Making a Realistic Needs and Diseases patch for custom foods

Hi! I'm trying to create a patch so that "Warm Drinks" (Which I converted to SSE) will be compatible with RND for SSE. The mod is Campfire/Frostfall based and adds a new crafting station and 27 craftable drinks, 3 of which are alcohol. I'm a modding novice and don't usually play with RND.

 

I have added the RND_DrinkWater or RND_DrinkAlchoholWeak/Normal effect to all of the appropriate drinks, but when I load them up in game there is no effect. The PC will consume the item, experience frostfall effects and magic effects, but the RND thirst effect remains unaffected.

 

What's more, after I load these up in game and then load them in creation kit, all of the drink objects are duplicated, and both the original and the duplicate no longer have the effects that I had added in CK.

 

What am I missing? I've only been changing the objects themselves. Is there like a script or list or something that I need to edit for this to work? I'm feeling pretty lost, and I haven't been able to find help in existing forums.
