Game freezes everytime exactly in the same spot

Hello guys,

 

I just returned to SSE some days ago, rebuilt my list of mods (some of them new to me), and I just have some very weird thing happening.

The game is running smoothly, no CTDs and glitchs, but everytime I try to enter Riverwood (as soon as get below the main gate of Riverwood coming from Helgen, and approaching the waterfall coming from Whiterun) the game freezes. And it is funny because it is always in the same spot (exactly).

 

But if I fast travel to Riverwood, I can leave it without any problem, it freezes only when trying go there (on foot or horse). I have no idea what may be causing that, can anyone help me?

First - are ALL of your mods for SSE, you can NOT use any mods from or made for the original Skyrim

 

Second - are you using a Merged patch from TesVEdit? if you are, delete it

First - Only 2 mods of my load list are from oldrim, but both were included in another character of mine which had 120+ hours of game with no problem. Anyway, I deactivated both mods and even did a new game, nothing changed. Both are Dual Wield Parrying and Paladin Armor (which is not even on leveled list, only forging). In both of these mods, players report not having any problem using old esp (of course I converted the armor in NIF Optimizer).

 

Second - This merged patch is from SSEdit (the one made for Special Edition), not TESVEdit.

Delete it. The merged patch created by any version of Xedit is garbage and should not be used. As stated by 2 of the co-developers of Wrye, below

Wrye Bashes Bashed Patch can import a lot of records for the old Oblivion game, but for newer games like Fallout the patchers all need to recognise the newer games records to be able to increase it capability .. But they need to be developed first (Wrye Bash for newer games is a work in progress) - Because of this people are impatient to get a solution to importing more record types so falsely believe using xEdits Merged Patch aswell as a Bashed Patch solves the situation : It does not, if anything it makes things worse and random.

Gromulous aside from the quote from Alt3rn1ty, you might also want to mention what I said in my other post abut how Elminster originally made it for FO3 and FNV because there was no Wrye Flash for those games until Valda released his versions. The other thing that makes what Alt3rn1ty mentioned correct is because they don't patch all the records. Wrye Bash (with the proper record definitions and patchers) can patch all the records that make sense to patch. There are a few exceptions that you would never touch like the NavMeshes.

 

You could also add that it's inadequate because xEdit only looks at 10 records, 'LVLI', 'LVLC', 'LVLN', 'LVSP', 'CONT', 'FACT', 'RACE', 'FLST', 'CREA', 'NPC_'. Records like CREA are not in Skyrim, so if the record doesn't apply to the game, it's not used.

Well, it was not it. :sad:

I will have to go on each set of mods (200+ plugins), because the freezes still continue. No CTDs, only freezing. The painful part is that I need at least 10 hours of gameplay to prove the problem is gone.

I believe it might be something regarding respawn, because it only freezes in Skyrim, not in interior areas or cities. I deleted Skyrim Immersive Creatures (it was painful), and started a new game, after some hours, the problem returned. :sad:

Some people say that Enhanced Blood Textures is a broken mod, which causes freezes, is that it? Playing skyrim without some gore is boring.

Well, got rid of Skyrim Immersive Creatures and Travellers of Skyrim. So far so good.

I think they do not get along with with "The People of Skyrim", which changes the world a lot.
