i think you misunderstand, I can get some of the nif's to work just fine, however i cannot find or get my custom body skeleton and mesh to render in 3ds max, I can get the default bodys and cbbe bodys but I cannot get my character's body mesh. Is there a way to do that?

Thank you very much

Hi

as much as I understand the game engine its like that - every Human NPC and PC uses the same default mesh. The information on how the individual person looks are controlled by nodes(facial features are accessible inside CK) which are stored in the save game file(for the Player only/NPC are stored in the esp's)and not in the mesh so don't search for it - it does not exist.

This facial information can be extracted from the Save file but it is pretty much useless outside the game engine as their is no support for it in 3dsmax as far as I know.

I use char-gen nif exporter, So i can get the entire head from skyrim to nifskope to 3ds max, however I have a character with elongated arms (as that is in their character description) and cannot seem to find a way to export the CUSTOM MADE body as either an nif or an obj. I have tried 3d ripper dx, but have had no progress, It hasn't worked at all for me, and even crashes if I try it more than once.

Ah yes I forgot about the char-gen Exporter

So you can export your head but that does not work for your body, as CharGen only exports the head information based on RaceMenue settings.

How did you export the body(did you just use the default body mesh parts)? When you import the body into 3dsMax did you import it with an skeleton(did you use the XPMSE Skeleton - which is in your load order)? Is the skin of the body parts in 3dsmax weighted?
