Northern Springs Worldspace DLC. pt. 1

Hello there folks, I am jshrapnelc. I want to introduce the worldspace I've been working on for over the past year. I'll be brief about it right now, because there's a whole lot to cover, but I just wanted to give some info on what it is and what to expect.

I've been working on a Worldspace, probably a bit larger than Far Harbor. It will include various quests including a main quest that will be modular as time goes on.

There's a ton of new stuff, new weapons, new armor, new textures, new music, new settlements, new factions. You name it, just about everything.

Here's what to expect:

3 new followers (As of now)

Fully functional, and voiced.

3 new settlements (As of now)

Waker's Creek

Helen's Farm

Weskan Farm

A lot of NPCs, I don't know the exact count, but it's quite a lot so far. And the team has grown across both Facebook and Discord. The Discord is not exactly open to the public as of yet. Only invitation only, but I may consider some exceptions.

I first posted on the Bethesda forums last year, with various details, but put the project under the wraps as to not give out any more information and develop it. I've been doing so almost every day since February of 2017.

Here's the map in the pip-boy stitched up from 4 different pictures to show how many locations have been created that are discoverable. Note 5 more have been created since then.Map-stitch.jpg?width=1013&height=532

And that's all for now! Northern Springs - 'The Spirit of Nuclear Winter' will arrive soon.

Thanks. The answer is SOON. And the more people want it the sooner. Was aiming for this month or the next, with the release of the new trailer. But to be honest, when people pay more attention to it, it gets close to release. It's playable, has quests, Radiant Story, New Weapons, easter eggs, settlements, Craftable new items. I've been working on it since the beginning of 2017 almost every single day. Still a few things I have to do outside the scope of this mod.

It feels like a natural extension of Fallout 4 where Bethesda left me hanging with the announcement of no more Worldspace DLCs. That motivated me to create my own and I will continue to work on it and build upon this project and others.

I watched the video, I really like the part about the job progression. I hope that at some point there will be a silent reputation system accrued from jobs completed.

Locals should comment if you are an accomplished bounty hunter, or if you have turned in a bunch of deathclaw hands and hides, some trappers and hunters should take notice of a fellow skilled huntsman. It makes the world feel much more alive, and I think it is one of the things Bethesda tries to do, but only halfheartedly.

This looks freakin' amazing. The environment looks superbly done and it appears you've implemented some pretty nifty ideas too (the 4 job thing is very clever).

Can't wait to travel to Northern Springs with R4-04! On that note I was hoping that you could talk a bit, at least in broad strokes, about the companions. Will they have quests? Are they optional? (My char has become rather joined at hip with R4-04 - they're almost inseparable.) Relatedly: do they use the vanilla system in that you have to dismiss your current companion or are they like Heather Casdin, who can join in to make a trio? (I don't use any multi-follower mod, obviously.)

Anyways, yeah, big bravo on your project. This looks epic.
