Old mods working with NMM

Very simple question.

I made 2 simple texture replacement mods before Nexus Mod Manager was a thing. The zip files have the entire folder structure starting at the "data" folder, so back in the day you could extract (drag n drop) the data folder to the "Fallout New Vegas" (or Fallout 3) folder and everything would be in place.

The question is will NMM handle this just fine or will I need to update the files? I have gotten a couple of questions about it no working with NMM and I currently have neither FO3 or FONV installed at tne moment

No need for that. As long as the folder structure is correct, no matter what version of NMM you use, the mod will get downloaded and installed correctly and as long as the plug-in works with the version of the game, all will be fine.

I just downloaded the mod without an issue with NMM v0.64.2

Besides, you shouldn't base you decisions on one post, which is the very first post of that person, also considering that all the info given is that the mod "doesn't work on my PC". The latter raises eyebrows, in my case. For all we know this person doesn't quite exactly know what he/she is doing or has a mod conflict of some sort.
