my modded Fallout new vegas keeps crashing constantly

Recommended Posts

i have a lot of mods installed, most of them are ones essential to New Vegas like Project Nevada and AWOP

but my game will crash every once in a while for no reason, even with patches installed for other mods to avoid conflict.

i also own a very powerful computer so, its not an issue with my computer, but i have no idea why because i want to enjoy modded NV without constant crashing

my load order, sorted by BOSS

(some mods like ILO and perfomance of the gods isnt recognised and i forgot where they are)

(i also have NMC's texture pack if helps)

Are you using the Stutter Remover?

no but i will now, do you happen to know any other performance increasing mods?

Nah, I was thinking that it might be the culprit. I just noticed, looking at your load order, that you have no merged patch or bashed patch. Given the mods you are running (WMX, etc.), you need one.

In a nutshell, a Bashed Patch is a compatibility patch created for you by Wrye Flash based on your load order. But it's only going to work properly if the mods in your load order are properly 'tagged' for Wrye Flash (many are not, so you need to do it yourself, which is the bulk of the learning curve for how to use Wrye Flash for the average user). I don't use Wrye Flash, I create my own compatibility patches using FNVEdit then do a merged patch for things like levellists. My method is insanely time consuming in comparison to someone using Wrye Flash with the mods in their load order meticulously tagged, but my 'manual' method is the only one I know that lets me do silly things like get 3 different female body 'replacers' working together.

Regardless, you are going to need to learn to do either a Merged Patch (FNVEdit) or a Bashed Patch (Wrye Flash). Search for one of the half dozen 'Merged Patch vs. Bashed Patch' message threads that I know have been posted in these forums, and decide which one works for you. Lots of reading ahead! But it's worth it if you want to maintain a stable load order.
