FoxyDragoness Posted May 13, 2018 Share Posted May 13, 2018 In 1.3 multiplayer beta, polygamy is possible. You can marry more than one farmhand in multiplayer. I've read threads on this in previous versions, saying that a polygamy mod would mean reinventing the marriage system. I've never touched Stardew Valley code, so I thought I'd ask. Is this going to be possible with the changes made in 1.3, seeing as it is now possible to marry more than one person in multiplayer? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lymmea Posted May 13, 2018 Share Posted May 13, 2018 I don't know anything about modding so I can't give you an official or informed answer on this front, but just from a common sense perspective...the mechanics of marrying a farmhand played by another person, who has no scripted dialogue or events and isn't controlled by the game, have to be COMPLETELY different from the mechanics of marrying an NPC with scripted dialogue and events whose behavior is controlled by game AI. I don't think being able to marry multiple farmhands necessarily has any bearing on the ability to being able to marry multiple NPCs, and I can't imagine the code for one existing is going to make the coding for the other any easier.
