Not working at all

I bought Skyrim VR just couple of hours before GMG discount started.
I read through all guides I found from SkyrimVR subreddit and went on with Vortex because it was so often recommended. From the very beginning I started to get these errors (https://imgur.com/a/F2xrCuX)

 

Picture 1: When I followed instructions and clicked Settings -tab. Note that I did add bEnableFileSelection=1 to .ini and Vortex DID find SkyrimVR on Games -tab. I also started Skyrim VR and went to the main title screen first.

 

Picture 2 came when I clicked Ignore. From there on I continued by pressing 'Don't whine' button and was already furious.

I proceeded to Nexus and downloaded mods using the Vortex. It started to download them slowly and it gave me pop-up saying I should become premium to download faster. Well, I clicked it and paid my share but nothing happened. I closed Vortex and restarted it again. Well, now ALL downloads had stopped and it just gave me error message when I tried to continue downloading. Money well spent! I went to Nexus again to download these mods but Vortex won't proceed with the download.

 

Before I wasted my money it downloaded some mods so I tried to install them. That's when Picture 3 came.with.every.single.mod. Click. Click. Click. Then I deployed mods and went to the game and only mod I noticed there was Bigger Trees.

 

Now I tried to remove all mods and Vortex to start anew but Vortex says there are no mods at all. Data folder is full of them and I am unsure what there should be so it would seem I need to reinstall whole game too.

 

'Get Vortex they said, it would prevent you facing problems they said. Become premium they said, you'd download mods faster they said'

 

Enough lollygagging. I am grateful if someone could help me.

Are you using OneDrive for your user profile? That's a known problem that this is not working properly, unless you set a certain option (you might want to search here for the issue, I can't remember which option that was)

OneDrive? No, I don't use it and I doubt I'd chose that my mistake. I do have hotmail account and both are Microsoft's aren't they?

This may sound like a silly question but, do you have Chrome installed or do you use Microsoft Edge?

I removed both Skyrim VR and Vortex and reinstalled both but same problems again

Thanks! This time despite the errors I managed to get couple of mods working! I will continue installing them more tomorrow.

I understood that using Vortex there should not be any mod files in Data folder? Those I installed using Vortex are there.

Once you activate the mods, the files will be in Data.

 

Other than MO (which uses a virtual file system, so Data stays clear all the time), Vortex uses links to place the files into data. They won't take any additional space, but they're visible in the normal explorer and other tools.

I don't understand that sentence. It seems to say the files are not actually in the Data folder. If you checked the size of the Data folder, then used Vortex to install a bunch of huge texture mods then rechecked the size of the data folder it wouldn't be any bigger? If the downloaded files aren't really in Data where are they? Could someone explain how this works because I'm reading explanations and just getting more confused.
