Hello,

I have been playing and modding skyrim for a while now and find it strange that even when wearing full ebony mail with the ebony blade having the azura's star on me, among other daedric artifacts that the vigilant of stendarr will not do anything at all even though they have a very public hatred for the daedra and daedra worshipers. I propose a mod that will make the any member of the vigilant of stendarr attack you if you are carrying a daedric artifact on you. if for some reason you have multiple on you, it would be nice if random events where the vigilants attack you happen outside of cities. While i do no know how much of this is possible, as I do no know if it is possible to detect inventory without crafting. and maybe add compatibility with RRoT and/or other daedric mods. Thank you very much for reading.

In the vanilla game, the Vigilants should accost you and demand that you hand over your artifacts, and if you don't, they'll attack you. I've found this to be pretty hard to come across, though.

Also, Ebony armor isn't categorized as daedric. Even so, the Vigilants should be smart enough not to attack someone in ebony or other stronger armors. The Azura Star cannot be detected by the Vigilants as well because it's a non-equipped item. They weren't set to use the same condition(s) the guards use to check for items in the player's inventory.

That said, I think I can create a mod that will have Vigilants attacking the player if they carry Daedric artifacts. Just not sure how I would implement it immersively though. I don't want the Vigilants to keep sending themselves to their deaths because, face it, the player will likely be the triumphant one every time.

For now, there's a mod called Radiance which is an encounter mod. It's old but it's not broken and is as good as it is, same with Extended Encounters. Radiance includes an encounter that has Vigilants attacking you if you completed 5 or more Daedric quests, if I remember correctly. However, because it's an encounter, the chances of that happening is random.
