The Nerevarine Empire Mod

Hello to all who read this!

This is a short topic about an upcoming mod I am making for the Elder Scrolls Morrowind! I loved Morrowind and have installed lots of mods and have spent hours doting on every aspect of the game. Recently I bought Morrowind again from Steam for £12.99 and already I have put 70+ hours into it. Anyway, after I had finished the main quest with my traditional pure mage (becoming more like a battle mage at higher levels) I considered all I had done for Morrowind and concluded that the reward for the main quest is rather poor. Can a ring that gives you night-eye and stamina be classed as a good reward for completing the main quest in the game? Sure you get artifacts like Keening, Sunder and Wraithguard and the lore is amazing far better than the other elder scrolls games in my opinion, but It left me wanting to go on, the world and state of Morrowind seemed a little unconcluded. I was the type of person that leeched of every rumour of the province I heard in Oblivion and now Skyrim.

So I thought, why not try to make a new questline the player a far greater reward, that has recurring lore-friendly quests and that continues the lore of Morrowind. So I am very please to present you with:

Very little at the moment actually but I am making it. I have thought out the quest line and the characters and the rewards and am able to give you a list of features that it will include....hopefully:

A whole new quest line for high level characters (recommended 60+) attempting to be as lore-friendly as possible.

A FAR better reward that, is the reason for the level recommendation, to get a great reward it takes hard work and some parts of this quest WILL be hard.

Large scale battles involving lots of NPCs and character.

3 new factions: The Poisoned Dagger, The Antidote and The Nerevarine Empire the latter of the three you are the leader of.

New locations and characters with good background or dialogue

And possibly more....

I have made a couple of preview videos showing the first quest on youtube, it isn't great quality because I am new to making youtube videos. It also uses the MSGO (Morrowind Sound and Graphics Overhaul) which may be a requirement for this mod. Here is the link to the first video, the link to the second is an annotation in the video and in the video description: "

without quotations obviously.

Finally there is a question I would like to ask anyone who reads this. I could make the Tamriel Rebuilt mod a requirement for this one which would allow the questline to expand to mainland Morrowind. I could instead get other map makers to help me make some of Mainland Morrowind, although I don't know how many map-makers would be interested in this because Morrowind is an old game. Or I could just base the whole mod in Vvardenfell which would be fine, but not nearly as cool.

Please, please, please comment on this topic just to tell me an opinion, make a suggestion and answer the question if you can :)

If your feeling really, really helpful you could always spread the mod around a bit by putting a little note in your signature, but that may expecting to much. :)

Yeah, i agree with you. I played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim and Morrowind has the best main quest, the best main quest in an expansion (Tribunal, yeah, i loved putting an end to the whole Tribunal), and the best background story. Only a question, the main quest will be replaced or this will be some sort of expansion? I think that you would need to complete Tribunal Main Quest and Morrowind Main Quest (I think that get the Trueflame and Nerevar's ring would be essential). The idea of Tamriel Rebuilt being a requirement is wonderful, I will love seeing the quests took place in the whole Mournhold or in some places else. If you need to get all the Daedric Artifacts and all of Nerevar artifacts it will be fine, but, you think that absorb all the Tribunal members' souls (except Sotha Sil) is a good idea xD?

Well i will be glad if this mod get finished (sorry if you don't understand something, i am Spanish and i need to trust in my own English, the Google Traductor isn't a good advisor jejejej).

Personally, i think that the Hero of Kvatch (Oblivion) is the most powerful hero in The Elder Scrolls series (because he become a freaking god in Shivering Isles, a Daedric Prince, nothing more, with freaking power over madness and his own Oblivion realm ), but the Nerevarine (Morrowind) is the second one (because he has got Corprus only with positive effect, so he is inmortal and eternally young, inmunne to diseases. He also has got the Trueflame, a Dwemer sword with the power to destroy gods, and is stated to be a powerful warrior capable of killing gods even without that weapon, due to the demises of Vivec, Almalexia and Dagoth Ur by him). The Dragonborn (Skyrim) is the third one, only for being the ultimate dragon slayer and capable of use the Dragon Shouts.

Thanks a lot for posting! I think I'll definitely try to incorporate your soul absorbing idea into the mod, perhaps as part of the quest that gets you more power. So far I have finished making the first quest and it all works fine, I don't know if you've seen my youtube video but it shows you a little of the quest. Currently I'm making a manor house for a councilor of the Poisoned Dagger that overlooks Balmora. If you have anymore suggestions please PM or post here, I have no preferences to which.

I agree with you on the level of hero power throughout the series and I would like to change it so that the Nerevarine can be on equal terms with the hero of Kvatch, maybe a demigod or something. Maybe If I ever finish this mod I'll make a little add-on so you could meet a Morrowind representation of the Hero of Kvatch, thought I don't know if that would actually work, just a thought.

Please post again or direct others to this thread so they can give suggestions.

Gracias mis amigo!

P.S Your English really isn't that bad; unlike my Spanish... :)
