First i'm sorry if the writing is messy.
Perhap these are bugs or game limitation or ( problems on my side)
-All type of aliens can activated after last soldier end turn with no line of sight of the Aliens but a battle scanner
-floater able to supress with i have no line of sight of it
-on land large outsider able to spawn in the cockpit and on the roof
Suggestions
-i'm loving the new activation revealing pod but not the reduce the pod size. how about early to mid game only reduce the range the alien able to call to only 50-70% of line of sight. this only apply to non-psi aliens (because they are imperfect being) however also apply to setoid early game (because balance) but moving to mid game they able to call with full sight (because they are psi alien). psi aliens and machines able to call full sight (these are able to call with radio or psi...). this is only a suggestion because of low pod size and add character to some aliens

I've had two situations where a battlescanner revealed an outsider at the end of my turn. I know for sure that none of my soldiers or any active pods had line of sight on him. So I guess this is a bug, unless Outsiders have some new behavior with the pod activation change?

Yeah came here to comment on this. I've noticed that battle scanners are making aliens scamper at the end of your turn, and right afterwards they get a free turn. Seen this happen with sectoids and drones.

I saw the same thing with Battlescanner.
Floaters often attack from locations I can't see them from as well. I suppose this includes supression.

The floaters attacking from out of sight is just Line of Sight being messed up by flight (Its bugginess is probably the main reason why Firaxis decided to remove flight for XCOM 2). I dont think there is much that can be done to fix it.

Yes, right now battle scanners are activating all pods they can see at the end of your turn. It's a bug of the fix that stopped pods from being inactive. =P

We're working on it. =D

When do you think you will be able to release that? I totally understand the difficulty, since the pod activation change was huge, but I think it is definitely a good call in the long run.

Really don't know when because we're not exactly sure how to fix it. Not even sure it can be fixed (thought it probably can).

It's better than when the aliens were bugging out in 1.18.0 and 1.18.1 though. So I'd say right now just be careful with the battle scanners and we'll get a fix out as soon as we can.

GamerChris9 is right on the $$. There is a lot that goes into the range and it's actually really important that people can fire at their max vision range. However, when flying it sometimes bugs out due to angular calculation on the z-plane. Sometimes it's just because of LoS wonkiness that they can see you and you can't see them.

I'm not sure what you mean about spaning on the roof and cockpit? You were? The outsiders were? Other pods were?

As for the battle scanner, it's a bug in 1.18.2 that we're not 100% sure how to fix but we are working on it. :)
