How to deploy a mod as a PCC file patch?

Hi everyone,

I've done a simple change on a class inside the SFXGame.pcc file of my Mass Effect 3 and I want to publish it as a mod. For others to install it without having to replace their entire SFXGame.pcc file with my own, so they can keep their own edits unchanged, I would need a tool that makes some kind of patcher for a PCC file and apply just my modifications into other users' PCC files, whatever custom changes their SFXGame.pcc files already have.

Seems to me like ModMaker does exactly this, but I'm not sure how to deploy a MOD file as a patch for end users in a more user friendly manner. As far as I know, ModMaker/ME3Explorer needs to be configured for it to run MOD files and I would prefer something simpler for end users.

Can you guys give me some tips on what tools there are for me to do this or about how can I do it?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello there...

1- you could just provide your modded .pcc file and anyone can simply replace their original with it...

2- ModMaker matches the modded .pcc file with the original and so when the .mod file is run it overwrites the original with that changed aspect of that modded .pcc file, inserts your changes into your chosen .pcc...

Ok, seems like ModMaker is the way to go for me. Thanks a lot!
