NMM: Mod loading error

I installed every mod of mine without problems, the ones that had problems were fixed.

Except for one (well two but-): Fallout New Vegas 4GB patch

When I start Nexus Mod Manager, I get an error that states it couldn't not load FalloutNVpatch.cpp

I tried reinstalling it, and failed.

(the second mod is the OneTweak mod, it has the same error but its OneTweak.ini, so I'm guessing if you help me fix the 4gb one, I can proceed to the second one)

My game is installed here: E:\jogos\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas
Mods are inside E:\jogos\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\MODs

What should I do?

Some people are finding that even after updating NMM to v0.65.4 they still get a "script exception" message when installing some mods (such as UIO and MCM). This seems to be resolved by this suggestion from user ElysianMod:
* Run NMM as an "Administrator privileges" account.
* Go to NMM "Settings".
* Enable "Add Shell Extensions for Supported File Types".
* Then restart NMM.
(Supposedly this fix will be included in the next "unofficial" update to NMM on GitHub.)

Hi. Thanks for replying!

I tried adding shell extensions (after starting NMM with administrator privs), but that crashed NMM, giving me a tracelog. I then restarted NMM, and shell extensions' option is ON. I will now try to run the game again.

Btw, I have 3 options to launch New Vegas: Normal, ScriptExtender and 4GB patch. Which one should I run for best results? I believed 4gb was an .exe that you used only once, then you could play normally...

Make sure you have updated NMM to version 0.65.4 (or later; I don't use or track NMM).

The 4GB Patch will automatically recognize you have NVSE installed and include it when it starts. You are correct that it is a run once and thereafter the normal "FalloutNV.exe" program is what you run. However, you need to ask questions about how NMM or MO work in their respective support forums. I don't use either and only know the most basic features of them. What those icons have in the shortcuts behind them is not known to me.

As for the CTD after 10 minutes:

* Are you running Win10? Did you get the "Fall Creator's Update" of 2017 (FCU aka "RedStone 3") or did this problem start after a more recent similar update? Do you have "New Vegas Stutter Remover" (NVSR) installed? If all three are "true", then please see the 'Issue: CTD after 10-20 minutes of play (post-Win10 2017 FCU)' and 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu' entries in the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

* The game has "memory leaks". Getting 2-3 hours before a CTD is pretty good. You might want to try using the tool "Memclean", which periodically (you can set the interval; default is every 15 minutes) tells the OS to perform it's built-in "clean up" of memory. It has a "mini-monitor" that displays memory usage. Doesn't seem to hurt and might help.

* If you are using the full 4GB of memory, most likely your CTD problem (now or in the future) is the default "heap size" is too small. It's so common you might as well deal with it now. Please see the 'Issue: CTD without warning, "Out of Memory error", or stops responding after the Main Menu') entry in the 'Solutions to "Crash To Desktop" (CTD) problems' section in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

I run on W10, with Stutter Remover, but no such thing as "FCU".

I will look out for memory leaks, and will try Memclean.

I don't think I'm using all the 4gb, because I have very few mods.

Btw, I didn't find NMM 0.65.4 on Nexusmods website - also, when I try to update NMM via nmm itself, it fails to update. Mine is 0.65.2

You will need to update NMM from NMM on GitHub or this Nexus NMM download page. Check the version numbers carefully on both sites and use the latest one.

Microsoft has used a number of confusing nomenclatures for their "system updates". Unless you have been deliberately avoiding all updates, by now you not only have "FCU" installed, but probably also "Spring Creators Update for 2018" as well. See this "Windows 10: A guide to the updates" article for the various names and version numbers.

Memory leaks are not intentional. They are the result of bugs and can suck up your RAM accidentally. Not related to the number of mods you run, though some might exacerbate the problem.
